-I don't know if this thing is a part or not. But it kindof is an active simulation of all of my knowledge that's always going on to some degree, especially when everything is operating properly. It kindof mixes all of my information together allowing me to see [patterns](../parts/archivist-pattern-finder.md) and understand the global scope of my reality. When it gets too chaotic, it is often shut down by the [Cleanup Guy](../parts/cleanup-guy.md).

-This thing shows up as a cool metal floating machine with one central eye / projector. It seems to do two things:

-- Look for patterns in the knowledge matrix, memory cloud, simulator thing

-- Project memories for viewing

-It's good at its job and thrives on new information to review.

-I don't know if this guy is just representing the calm that I feel, or is somehow causing it? He / It shows up as a comforting weight on my chest and midsection. Hasn't ever spoken, but responds to being spoken to.

-Cleans things up when mental processes get out of control. Shuts everything down. Cleans house. Typically this results in external cleanup as well. Bullet-journal, clean house, etc.

-This guy presents as a pang of missing or longing in my chest. I can only vaguely picture him, but kinda seems young, and a little muppetish. So far he's only popped up with regard to Erin. He wants to know about her and be around her, find out what's going on with her, etc. Doesn't seem interested in telling her about me.

-I think this guy is younger. May be a teenager. Shows up so far curious to explore sexual experiences. I'm hesitating to call this guy "Horny Teenager" because:

-- I suspect this curiosity and willingness to explore may present in other contexts

-- It seems to have more to do with the thrill of exploration than the pure sexuality of the experience

-## Overview

-While talking to [Work Captain](work-captain.md), trying to prepare for a day of work, this guy appeared, presenting as a nervous tightness in the chest. When asked about what was going on, he indicated that he was happy to let Work Captain take charge, but was worried that it wasn't clear what needed to be done. He was afraid of being pushed to perform without a clear goal. Calmed him down by telling him that our current mission was just to explore and figure out what to do. That seemed to give him a clear mission and calm him down.

-Young part. Sounds the alarm and introduces anxiety when there is a push to perform but an unclear sense of what exactly to do.

-## Overview

-This guy is strange. When trying to dive into the Erin stuff, which was represented as a bunch of colorful blocks on a table, this guy presented as an obstruction to my working on the table. Digging into it, it identified as a lamp whose purpose was to appear to be helpful in sorting this stuff out, but was really there to obstruct. Likened to a double agent in an investigation who appears to be helpful but is actually there to foil the investigation.

-This lamp sits on a desk where my Erin-related odds and ends are. It's apparent purpose is to obstruct my work on that. It seems to have been placed there by someone else.

-This guys seems to be a nerdy teenage kid. He doesn't speak up much, but when he does it's to alert me that "That's not ok. That's wrong!".

-This guy just seems to be a curmudgeon, sitting in the corner chiming in occasionally when things are going bad that "Nothing matters anyway, you guys". This seems to have the effect of calming down other parts who are too anxious.

-Not sure about this guy. Popped up once but disappeared before I could talk to him. First appeared as a result of conversing with [Exploratory Teenager](exploratory-teenager.md). During the the conversation, was kindof talking about physical attributes of a person on whom Exploratory Teenager was fixated. Once the conversation started to turn toward personality aspects of this person, this kindof fiery burning sensation flared up in the chest. Once I tried to talk to it though, it backed down and kindof faded away.

-This is a young, scared kid who alerts me when it doesn't feel safe to go into another room. May alert me to other unsafe situations, too. So far has only presented when I'm in a calm / safe state (like a nap), and I need to move back into the house or the other room where it may be uncomfortable.

-This guy observes all communication, internal and external and evaluates it for accuracy and against any known current objectives. If something seems off or is being misrepresented he'll speak up. If I'm talking to somebody and what they're saying doesn't match up with what they mean, he lets me know. Sometimes bullshit detetor. Sometimes just letting me know what they're talking about really.

-This guy also seems to do a fair amount of translating my thoughts for external consumption. Helps me walk on eggshells or try to determine just the right way to say something for the audience to grasp.

-This guy is an adult. He's tall and stands proud. He's locked in and gets me locked in. He wants to find work to do and do it. He want's to check boxes and not only be competent, but look competent.
